OK, folks, I'll give it a go.

  In an attempt to follow up on my own request for a logo for a newsletter
for chess players, here are 3 studies.

  The 1st is unfinished -- I'm stuck for a way to go. The 2nd and 3rd are
complete.

  These were done on a VGA 50-line screen, and, I think, should be seen
that way.
